The Bircham Centre has received a generous gift from a business that has had strong links with Reepham over many years.
The holiday business, holidaycottages.co.uk, part of the Travel Chapter Family that Original Cottages joined in 2022, relocated to Norwich earlier this year and has made a three-year parting gift to the Bircham Centre. The generous donation, which forms part of holidaycottages.co.uk’s Regional Community Support, will help to cover the Centre’s maintenance costs.
Les West, chairman of the Bircham Centre Trustees, expressed his appreciation of the gift. “This is a wonderful gesture from holidaycottages.co.uk and is a tribute to Original Cottages’ long involvement with Reepham. We’re hugely grateful for their support for the next three years and have certainly missed seeing members of their team picnicking in the Walled Garden this summer.”
Stacey Turnbull, Senior Regional Communities Manager said: “Here at holidaycottages.co.uk we are proud to support the Bircham Centre by helping to cover maintenance costs for the next three years. Many of our colleagues worked from our office in Reepham from 1992 to 2024. We were frequent users of their meeting spaces and we have very fond memories of our socials in the walled gardens, so we wanted to do something to say thank you following our departure from the town.”
Reepham resident and holidaycottages.co.uk team member Kate Robertson met outside the Bircham Centre to shake hands in celebration of the gift.
