The space to the right of our front door has been transformed into a public space with gravel, planters and the beautiful Amelanchier tree donated by John Palmer in memory of his wife, Brenda. This lovely space is now somewhere you can pause for a while in the market place, thanks to the generous donation of a new bench by Reepham Lions Club.
You can get into this area using the small gate beside the front door, behind the telephone box.
Reepham Lions have previously donated the two benches on the other side of the front door and the new bench matches these. Public benches play an important role in reducing loneliness and isolation in communities and this bench will invite people to sit for a chat.
Members of the Bircham team including Les West, Chair of the Trustees, met with several Lions, including current President, Kevin Long, at the new bench to mark the donation.
